Everybody Seems to Be Doing It!

Well here I am on the eve of the new year. Actually, it is the eve of the eve but no matter. I have always wanted to write but "never had the time" preferring to be out in the barn or the garden. Sitting at the computer does not really agree with my personality; but I will try. Maybe only to prove to myself that yes, I can write or no, it's not for me! I have actually been a long time journaller (is that a word?) I have a very large collection of spiral bound notebooks that are just full of my words. They are from my grade school days when I would spend hours in my room writing. This seems to be much faster and chances are good that I won't develop that "writing blister" that has finally disappeared from my middle finger! I used to chew on that thing until it bled...it was pretty disgusting. WOW--I just discovered that there is a spell check on this thing! Great!!!
So anyway, today I spent some time with a friend for a Christmas lunch. We went Mexican and it was good! We exchanged our gifts and had a good long visit. It has been too long. Most of my friends have joined the full time at work rat-race. I am pushing against that as hard as I can. My part time work suits me fine...although with the farm and work it is sometimes hard. I would much rather just stay here at home and tend my things. Maybe someday!
I think I will hold with that thought today...tomorrow is always another day
